Some Known Benefits:

Massage Relieves Stress, and Improves Sleep:  Massage helps to calm and stabilize the nervous system. Massage promotes complete relaxation of the body, which helps the body to self correct, regulate and maintain its own well being.  Massage distracts the mind from pressing problems, eases mental stressors, improves sleep and help enhance the body’s vital core energy.

Clinical & Sports Massage: Helps to remove toxins, and inflammation from the body, release back and muscle pain, due to stressors or injury. By stimulating active blood and lymph circulation, massage helps to promote the body’s natural restorative processes.  After exercises, overworked muscles soreness, pain, clinical/ sports massage helps to restore and rebalance myofascial tone.  It’s been found that just a 15-minute of massage can increase mental concentration, focus and the ability to solve complex problems.

CranioSacral Therapy helps to relieve pain, migraines and in injury recovery.

Soft tissue, restrictions along the cervical spine’s dura membrane hinders the normal cerebrospinal fluid presssure brain, resulting in mobility and in circulation problems. Which can lead to severe headaches. A massage therapist, specialized in craniosacral/ somatoemotional release helps to release soft-tissue and membrane restrictions, increase mobility and the activate the outflow and inflow of blood, cerebrospinal fluid which as a result can eliminate the cause of headaches, nerve impingement and mobility issues.

Health Benefits

Chronically overworking, leads to physical and mental stresses, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, which can all lead to negatively impacting our metabolic rate, which will inevitably lead to weight gain. Therapeutic Massage and CranioSacral/ SomatoEmotional approach can help speed up the body’s own self correcting processes which will significantly improve your overall health and well being.

My Specific Clinical Massage Therapy Training:

Swedish Massage, is the most common type of massage. It involves soft, long, hands on kneading, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping (tapotement) strokes, on topmost layers of skin and muscles. This is also combined with balancing movements for the joints. By relieving muscle stress and tension, Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Sports Massage, Utilizes modified massage applications , primarily focusing on sports and accident related injuries, for both prevention and recovery needs. Deep tissue massage, sports & medical massage applications are designed specifically to address conditions, specific pain, inflammation, and muscle injury regions of the body.

Clinical/ Medical Massage, utilizes some of the same applications as sports massage, and deep tissue massage. It’s founded on outcome-evidence based massage approached, and is primarily focused on specific treatment for specific problem(s).

This practice is best integrated with the client’s health provider’s treatment plan. Your doctor’s referral with their diagnosis and treatment plan, and with your agreements to coordinate with your prescribing doctor for supervision. Note: I don’t accept medical insurances,  payment is due at end of session in cash or credit. No checks please. Ask for a receipt for your therapeutic service, if you intend to file for insurance reimbursement(s). (Check with your employer’s flexible or medical saving plans for coverage).

Myofascial Release, is a hands on, manual treatment that attempts to release tensions with in the body’s fascia and muscles, to ease and release motion and motility restrictions, also known as soft-tissue restrictions/ adhesions. These restrictions are usually created by trauma impact forces of a fall, accident, posture misalignments, or tendon/ ligament inflammations. Connective tissues, “fascia” surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Restrictions cause a great deal of pressure on nerves, circulations and movement of muscles, which leads to chronic pain, weakness or immobility.  Practitioners of myofascial release employ long and short stretching strokes meant to balance tissue and muscle mechanics and improve joint range of motion in order to relieve pain and dysfunction.

Proprioceptive NeuroMuscular Facilitation, (PNF) muscle isometric contractions, is a popular advanced method of deep muscle stretching and balancing. It typically involves passively stretching a muscle (or muscle group), then performing an isometric contraction and stretch of that muscle group, followed a passive contraction and stretching the opposite muscle group to rebalance muscles and increase greater range of motion. This is one of the sports massage application techniques.

Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a gentle manual therapy technique that assesses the relationship and soft-tissue restriction between the internal organs (e.g. bladder, bowel, uterus, stomach, liver, kidneys, etc) and others structures, like muscles, fascia, ligaments and joints. It is used to help improve the visceral organs mobility, motility and circulation function. Helps to relieve restrictions caused by postural problems, injuries and illness.

Reflexology is an anceint science, based on the premise that there are neural reflex zones areas in the feet, hands and ears, which correspond to all glands, organs, visceral systems of the body. The physical act of applying finger, thumb and palm pressures to relax and rebalance these areas results in the reduction of stress which in turn promotes physiological changes and health in the body.

Shiatsu (acupressure) is very similar to Reflexology, except it is a Japanese meridian therapy. Origin of this approach is based on the same principles as Chinese acupuncture, meridian therapy using needles. Except here, all techniques are done with finger, thumb, palm and foot pressure, which are applied along certain points on the body’s meridians to rebalance it’s energy (Qi) flow. Shiatsu regulates the automatic nervous system activity and stimulates the circulatory, lymphatic and hormonal systems. Poor posture, joint problems, sprains, arthritis, sciatica, acute and chronic neck and back pain, sinusitis, and bronchitis are treatable with Shiatsu.

Therapeutic Touch, also known by some as “non-contact touch”-therapists place their hands on or near their patient’s body with the intention to help or heal. In doing so, therapists believe that they are consciously directing or modulating an individual’s energies by interacting with his or her energy field. The focus is on balancing the energies of the total person and stimulating the body’s own natural healing ability rather than on the treatment of specific physical diseases.  Illness is an imbalance in an individual’s energy field. Clearing or balancing the energy field promotes health. Based on Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN, work, “All humans have natural abilities to heal and enhance the healing in others.”

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction along the membrane system of the brain and spinal cord, it helps to improve whole-body health and performance. Based upon Dr. John E. Upledger’s DO, OMM work, (CST) is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster the body resistance to disease, and it’s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

SomatoEmotional Release® (SER) is inner work, it’s an adjunct to CranioSacral Therapy. A therapeutic process used to help release deep emotional and traumatic energy associated with past injuries that have been retained, suppressed and isolated within the body, to help facilitate the body’s self corrective processes.  In this work the therapist and the client work together focusing on deep body residual issues to resolve, release and rebalance body-mind health.  In addition to working with your body “inner wisdom”, your therapist will support your process, verbally, through feeling and imagery communication and reflective listening to help you work toward a resolution.

Polarity Therapy is a unique form of energy healing application that enables you to look at what you’re carrying as pain, stress and disease. It provides an opportunity to access and unwind the origins of stuck energies, to create physical, mental and emotional reintegration. While working with your body, the therapists will support your process through verbal communication and reflective listening. Polarity therapy is intended to restore a balance and distribution of the body’s energy by combining touch, exercise, nutrition and self-awareness.

Reiki Healing, is a Japanese healing hands technique that promotes healing by releasing for stress and inducing relaxation. Mikao Usui, was the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing.  It is administered by “laying on hands” or sending a person healing energies. The system is based upon the idea that there are unseen “life energy” that flows throughout the universe and through us. It is our soul essence, and life force. If one’s “life force energy” is low, or blocked then we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word “Reiki” is made of two Japanese words – “Rei” meaning “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and “Ki” meaning “life force energy.”  So Reiki is actually “your soul’s/ spiritual essential, your body’s core life force energy.” The goal is to help people realize that healing is a spiritual process, that is induced when you consciously intend/ decide to improve yourself. You must give your self permission. Its a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience.

Matrix Energetics (ME) applies the principles of Quantum Physics, and is essentially energy work, an effective approach to self care and transformation, which is powered by intent. The process is physically observable. Dr Richard Bartlett, DC, ND is the founder of this simple transferable and teachable phenomenon.

Quantum InnerQi is my own specific approach that involves interactively locating, and conversing with weakness and blockages within the mind’s auric fields. (Known as “energy cysts” by Dr. Upledger). These disturbance patterns often interfere with our health, relationships, jobs, carrier goals and our soul’s sacred purposes. These patterns often are associated with deep emotional, verbal or physical traumatic wounds, that block us from accomplishing our health and wellness goals.  Once these entropies are identified, and actively engaged, then we can work together to clear them away, and get help from our spirit guides to intentionally manifest a change. This you are feel to create anew your heart’s desire.
