What Conditions does CranioSacral Therapy Address?

CranioSacral Therapy, (CST) is often referred to as the “Art of Listening” through touch . . . and that it “brings quiet to the heart”.  It is a gentle, hands-on approach that addresses the soft-tissue restrictions and  releases tensions deep within the body’s membrane system that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. CST is used to locate and relieve pain and dysfunction along the central nervous system to improve whole-body health and performance.

CranioSacral Therapy uses a soft touch approach which is generally no greater than 5 grams of pressure – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners listen through touch to locate the sources of pain and dysfunction to ease and release restrictions in the membrane tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster the body’s resistance to disease, and for it’s effectiveness in enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct and alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain, sports and accident injuries to strokes and neurological conditions.

CranioSacral Therapy releases soft tissue restrictions along the membrane system of the brain and spinal cord, often cause tensions that create distortions central nervous system. These distortions cause craniosacral movement disorders, that the body endures and must compensate for. Overtime though, the body fatigues under the relentless tensions, which then sets up patterns that often lead to an impaired immune response and a serious decline in health.
